Nap Time

The best part about being a mother? Nap Time! Especially during that first year, and if you can afford to be a stay at home mom. Either if you're breastfeeding or using formula, taking care of your little one is a lot of hard work. I've found that days where i choose not to nap while my son naps, I have a hard time falling asleep at night and I am not as patient with my son's little tantrums. With those little cap naps, I feel more awake during the times in between. Sure, the laundry won't do it's self and someone has to keep the house clean, but schedule this for when you've got someone else over who can watch your little one. Or if you wake up before your child does.

Trust me, it took 5 long months for me to realize how much I need those extra 10 to 30 minute naps to feel better. Plus, napping will help get rid of those nasty dark under eye circles. BONUS!

I love napping with my daughter, but often I wake up feeling tired-er! (Not sure if that's a real word?!)
What I find relaxing though is in the evening, having a bath together, having a snack together and then lying in bed listening to classical music, having a massage and then to sleep. Best part of my day! :D

Say goodbye to those naps when you have #2.

My daughter is 21-months and in full-time nursery, but still naps for 2 hours in the middle of the day. If we're home on the weekends, that's Mama's nap-time, too. Invaluable, and one of the reasons we have an "at-home-day" at least once every weekend.

I can count on one hand how many times I've napped and I have two kids now, including a newborn. It just doesn't happen. I'm just not a person who can sleep during the day, just have too many other things to do during naptime, or just want quality "me" time to watch TV, read a book, etc. I feel like I waste time if I nap. Plus, now with 2, it's nearly impossible anyhow since their naptimes don't seem to coordinate.

I understand that with two kids it is hard to get a nap. And naps are mostly for new stay-at-home moms during the first couple months
